Impact of Substrate Temperature on Structural, Electric and Optical Characteristics of CuO Thin Films Grown by JNS Pyrolysis Technique

The jet nebulizer spray (JNS) pyrolysis method has been successfully employed to grow CuO thin films at various substrate temperatures, ranging from 300 600˚C. XRD analyses revealed the monoclinic phased polycrystalline growth of samples and exhibited strong influence temperature (ST) on crystallite sizes. Optical transmission bandgap studies also showed that sample bandgaps clearly rely upon temperatures. SEM micrographs displayed agglomerated particles having golf ball-like structures. occurrence Cu O in were confirmed through EDS analyses. DC electrical conductivities (I-V curves) show dependency ST. A p-CuO/n-Si diode was fabricated ST 600˚C parameters like barrier height ( $${\varphi }_{b}$$ ) ideality factor (n) determined under light dark conditions.
